Abstract

The aim of the article is to present and analyse the architecture of manor houses erected in the first half of the 19th century at Złotniki Wielkie and Szczypiorno, and the sources thereof. Neither of these structures has so far been a subject of research. Their architectural form derives from artistic conceptions proposed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. The article presents an attempt to explain the circumstances of these buildings’ erection and point to their probable designer.
