MISSION OF EDITORIAL TEAM AND ADVISORY BOARD


The whole editorial team of Pamiętnik Teatralny upholds the journal’s mission to contribute to the advancement of academic research on theater and performance history and historiography through a publishing policy that promotes inclusive, informed, and ethical academic debate based on reliable scholarly publications of the highest possible quality. The editors are responsible for:

  • content development of the journal and initiating thematic clusters;
  • pre-selecting submitted articles and taking final decisions on publication after the review process has been completed 
  • organization and evaluation of the peer review process;
  • ethically driven communication with authors, reviewers, and readers; 
  • organization and implementation of the entire publishing process (including technical and stylistic revision of texts);
  • maintaining and enhancing the reputation of the journal in the various academic communities.

The associate editors assist the editors in:

  • enhancing the principles of diversity, inclusivity, and equity by encouraging submissions from scholars of diverse backgrounds and viewpoints;
  • initiating thematic clusters;
  • internally evaluating submitted texts;
  • disseminating the information about Pamiętnik Teatralny in diverse academic and cultural communities.

The members of Academic Advisory Board support the editorial team in its mission by:

  • initiating thematic clusters;
  • advising on the evaluation of texts in controversial cases;
  • assisting in the consideration of appeals against publication decisions;
  • assisting in the resolution of controversial publication ethics issues;
  • disseminating the information about Pamiętnik Teatralny in diverse academic and cultural communities.
