Abstract

An excerpt from the novel. Although one of the heroes is called Edison, the book is permeated with an atmosphere of medieval stories on alchemists and magi. The design of a New Eve is conceived of in the mind of brilliant scientist Edison. The man believes that he can bring a creature into being, and that it will be for Mankind what we are for God.
