Art historian. She works in the editorial team of the Słownik artystów polskich i obcych w Polsce działających… [Dictionary of Polish and Foreign Artists in Poland...] at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Since 1994, she has been a contributing author of entries in Allgemeines Künstlerlexikon. She deals with Polish art of the 19th and first half of the 20th century, focusing especially on its relationship with literature. She has published articles about the artworks of writers and the visual interpretation of literary works, particularly those of Juliusz Słowacki, in post-conference volumes and journals (Konteksty, Teksty Drugie, Ikonotheka, Pamiętnik Sztuk Pięknych, Schulz / Forum). She is also interested in the connections between art and other fields (medicine, folklore, theatre) and popular culture as an area of reception of great works (painting, literature, music).
