Culture and Audio-Visual Experience
Abstract
Jelińska discusses Maryla Hopfinger’s book Audiovisual Experience, an anthology of texts from the past. Hopfinger tries to re-construct and analyze the map of audio-visual media of the 20th century, their interrelations and changes. Jelińska emphasizes the brilliant mind of Hopfinger, her attempts to comprehensively grasp the space of the media, and her ability to boldly pose questions about the shape of future culture.
