About Entertainment for the “Little People of Kiernozia and Pińsk”
Abstract
The following is a review of Kazimierz S. Michalewicz’s book Polskie rodowody filmu – narodziny masowego zjawiska [Polish Origins of Film: The Birth of Mass Phenomenon] (1998) on the beginning of the age of motion pictures. He analyses the phenomenon of a growing popularity of the new invention owing to its technological, artistic and social characteristics.
