Abstract

Professor Stefan Morawski formulates some remarks on relations between ethical and aesthetic issues. He cites the titles of the recently-made famous films to divide them into the movies that dangerously dodge ethical issues and those that require axiological reflections from the viewer. For Morawski, the stand of leading post-modernist philosophers (Derrida, Lyotard and Rorty) is a meaningful example of the fundamental importance of ethical issues. They reject the common significance of epistemological and ontological principles but they cannot free themselves from binding ethical rules.
